New Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that the government will set up 100 labs for 5G applications across the country. Apps for 5G services will be developed in these labs. These labs will also be used as incubators for student training, innovation and research and experimentation. Also, the finance minister announced the setting up of three centers of excellence in the country to give India an edge in artificial intelligence (AI).
Earlier, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had also claimed to set up 100 5G labs across the country. The minister said that he will set up 100 5G labs across the country. This time, he urged the telecom industry to stand together and convert at least 12 of these 100 labs into telecom incubators to train students.
Services have started in many cities
Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G services in India last year. Since then this service has been launched in many cities of the country. Currently, only Reliance Jio and Airtel telecom companies are providing 5G services in the country. Airtel has launched 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Kolkata, Patna and Gurugram.

On the other hand, Jio has launched JIO TRUE 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Varanasi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Kolkata, Panipat, Nagpur, Gurugram and Guwahati.
75th budget of the country
