According to WABetaInfo, a website that monitors WhatsApp development, WhatsApp has been working on this new feature since last year. That is, the company has been working with the voice note feature since last year. Reportedly, it could be made live for humans this year itself. According to the photo shared by WABetaInfo, you can see a voice note option in the status column, which is still visible in the chat window. With this you can put your voice as status. Users will only be able to record their voice for 30 seconds and post audio status only for this duration.
This voice note will be end-to-end encrypted and only visible to those you want to show the status to. Currently, this feature is released to some beta users, which will be live for the general public in the near future
