Realme’s Dhansu phone to be launched during Mobile World Congress, equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 16 GB RAM

New Delhi. The Realme GT Neo 5 phone is said to be in the works and is expected to go official during the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023) in February. Ahead of the official launch, the handset has appeared on benchmarking website Geekbench. Along with this, some specifications of the phone have also come forward. The phone is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC called Realme GT Neo 5 and the handset will run on Android 13 out-of-the-box. The Geekbench listing shows that this phone will be equipped with 16 GB of RAM.

91Mobiles has spotted the Geekbench listing of this alleged handset. The model number of the phone is shown to be RMX3708. This model number is linked to the Realme GT Neo 5 as per the listing on the TENAA certification website. According to the Geekbench listing, the phone will run on Android 13 and an octa-core chipset codenamed ‘taro’ will power the phone. It has a flagship CPU core with a maximum clock speed of 3.0GHz. All these details indicate that the upcoming Realme GT Neo 5 phone will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

The listing shows that the phone will have 14.86GB of memory. It can get 16 GB of RAM. According to the listing, the Realme GT Neo 5 scored 1,279 points in the single-core test and 3,902 points in the multi-core test. The upcoming handset could replace the Realme GT Neo 3 launched last year.

The device will be launched in February
The Realme GT Neo 5 may come in two variants with different battery capacities. It will get a 4,600mAh battery with 240W fast charging and a 5,000mAh battery with 150W fast charging. Recently both variants appeared on TENAA with model numbers RMX3706 and RMX3708. It could be launched in February during MWC 2023.

Triple rear camera setup
According to previous leaks, the Realme GT Neo 5 will feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with full-HD+ (1,240×2,722 pixels) resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It is said to feature a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX90 primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It will get a 16-megapixel selfie sensor.
