Oppo A78 5G Launch: Oppo is all set to launch the new Oppo A78 5G smartphone in India today (January 16). The phone will be the company’s first phone of 2023, and its teasers have been out for a long time. Some features of the phone have been revealed before the launch from the teaser published on social media.

Oppo A78 5G will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery. For power, the phone will come with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support. The smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset with Mali-G7 MC2 GPU processor.

Oppo A78 5G was recently launched in Malaysia. The phone features a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Additionally, it can support up to 8 GB of additional virtual memory using the onboard storage.

You can get 50 megapixel dual camera
As for the camera, the smartphone has a dual rear camera setup. It will have a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera sensor. The phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Both camera sensors are capable of recording Full HD video at 30fps. The phone is expected to come in two color options – Glowing Black and Glowing Purple.

According to rumours, the device may be priced under Rs 20,000. But its actual price will be known only after the launch today.

Oppo recently announced that it will offer four years of major ColorOS updates for select models from 2023. The company also revealed that it will provide five years of security patches for select flagship models starting in 2023.
