About 88% of 18- to 24-year-olds plan to change jobs in the new year. LinkedIn released a report for the year 2023, where it was revealed that 4 out of 5 people are not happy with their job and want to change jobs in the new year. The report also stated that compared to 2021, there was a 23% decline in hiring levels in India in the last month i.e. December 2022.
This issue has come up in the research
Between 30 November 2022 and 2 December 2022, through research on more than 2 thousand employees aged 18 and above, it was revealed that about 88 percent of young people, between the ages of 18 and 24, want to change their jobs. Whereas 64 percent of people between the ages of 45 and 54 want to change jobs. This means that young people are more likely to think about changing jobs this year than older people.
Low pay is a reason to change jobs
Nearly three-quarters of employees surveyed said they would apply for a new job with more confidence if they had to leave their job. In fact, due to rising costs and low wages, employees are forced to look for new jobs. About 35% of people surveyed are looking for more money. On the other hand, there are 33% who want to work for a company that balances their personal and professional life. About 32% of people said that they have confidence in their abilities and feel that they can get a better job.
