ChatGPT will destroy Google in just two years, claims the maker of Gmail

New Delhi. A while ago, it was reported that there is a lot of buzz in Google’s management of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Management feels threatened by ChatGPT for its search business. That is why CEO Sundar Pichai himself held several meetings. Meanwhile, the speech of Paul Buchette, the creator of Gmail, is also quite discussed. Paul said the new artificial intelligence tool could dethrone search engine giant Google within the next two years.

Within a week of its launch in November last year, ChatGPT had accessed over one million users. This AI tool is much more powerful than Google’s. Because Google’s search results are based on links. But, ChatGPT also explains difficult topics in very simple terms. Its language does not seem mechanical at all.

Gmail creator Paul Buchheit has said in a series of tweets that Google could die completely within a year or two. AI will delete the search engine results page. This is where the company makes the most money. Even if the company masters AI, the company cannot fully deploy it without destroying the most valuable part of its business.

Paul elaborates that Chat GPT will do to the search engine what Google did to the Yellow Pages (information diaries that existed before the Google search engine) and AI will also take away the search engine results page from where search engines like Google make most of your money.

Paul said that though search engines like Google have tried to tighten their grip on AI by building their own versions of OpenAI-based AI models. But they won’t be able to fully deploy it without destroying the most valuable part of their business.
