Xiaomi Cloud: Xiaomi announced the discontinuation of its cloud service in a big shock to its customers. The company is continuously sending notifications to its users that their data will not be stored on its cloud servers after April 30, 2023. MIUI Gallery no longer supports sync, so the developer team is actively recommending users to migrate their photo collections to Google Photos.
About five months ago, Xiaomi said it was shutting down MIUI’s Gallery Sync feature, and that users would want to back up their data to Google Drive, which is arguably a more secure and reliable option.
Updated MIUI Gallery to make it easier to copy your media to Google Drive All user photos and videos saved in Xiaomi Cloud can be easily saved to Google Photos. Xiaomi users will be offered a three-month free trial of Google One with 100GB storage.

Additionally, if you currently have an active Xiaomi Cloud subscription, your payment will automatically be canceled and the full subscription price will be charged.
Mi noted in its blog published in October last year that users continue to store and access their photos and videos securely, so the company is giving you the option to easily transfer gallery items stored in Xiaomi Cloud to Google Photos.
If you don’t want to transfer your items to Google Photos, the company is also offering the option to download your data directly to your Xiaomi device.
How to transfer data to Google Photos?
You will receive a notification on the Gallery and Xiaomi Cloud app about the termination of these services Then you can choose to start the data transfer process.
You can also start the data transfer process manually in each app:-
Gallery app: Go to the Start page, then tap Google Photos.
Xiaomi Cloud App: Tap More then Transfer Data.
After starting the transfer processor, follow these instructions:-
1- Move to Google Photos” or tap on ‘Transfer data’.
2- Select the Google account you want to transfer your data to.
3- Read the Google Privacy Policy and Google One Terms of Service, then agree to the terms.
4- If the space provided is enough to transfer all your items, the transfer will start automatically. If that’s not enough, you have the option of taking a Google One membership trial or upgrading your cloud storage space.
5-Now you can go to your app and check the transfer status.
