New Delhi. India is now set to compete with Android and iOS with its homegrown mobile operating system BharOS. This mobile OS developed by IIT Madras has received the green signal from the Government of India. BharOS is a successful step towards data privacy. Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnav on Tuesday tested the indigenous mobile operating system ‘Vars’ developed by IIT, Madras.
Let me tell you, this mobile operating system is developed by an agency affiliated to IIT Madras and it can be made a part of mobile device by any Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
